The Eureka Stockade Deluxe does not require a hearth under the appliance, The unit can sit directly on a combustible floor such as timber, vinyl, cork tiles and carpet. However you do require a hearth tray which must sit directly in front of the heater. It must be manufactured of a non-combustible material such as A.C. sheet or slate and be 18mm thick.
